ITP – Individual Training Program now open for more clients

When it comes to fitness a few of us can call ourselves experts. All of us know what we want but it is the “how to” that is difficult.

Just as with food and nutrition there are many ways to skin the cat but which one to follow is hard to tell for the layman person.

If you have a clear vision of what you want, you NEED a clear vision from a coach to get you there.

Over the years I witness incredible transformations, immense gains in fitness, clients accomplish goals they have dreamt about for years, clients achieving unseen body transformations and an increase in fitness I did not anticipate – all because people had a plan, a program to follow.

Another remarkable feature with the ITP is the motivation it provides to people. Most of my clients have always been dedicated but when you have your own coach, with your own program, the level of commitment, motivation and drive is remarkable increased.

To accommodate a growing demand for ‘more’, I have made different levels of the ITP. The basic difference between the levels are the feedback and expert knowledge you will have available from me.

With the new setup of ITP, I have opened up for a new feature, the Athlete Training days, where the idea is to gather all interested in getting better at their sport for a 2-3 hour event with focus on education in nutrition, training, rehabilitation; improve technique; understanding pace and train with equally driven people.

Another new feature is the 6 week consult time, where you and I get a chance to run over the last 6 weeks of training to adjust. It is often easier if we talk in person (or Skype) to run through the details of the program. With this potential adjustment you and I can continue our progress to make your plan even better.

I have also opened up for a regular monthly Personal Training Program where I will work with you to improve technique, pacing, movement pattern or run through your nutrition plan.

Overall, with more options available the ITP is setup for helping more people but it is also the beginning for the next level. In the new year, there will be a membership site where I will have programs, forums, videos, exercises and more available.

The Sport of Fitness is growing – get your own coach and reach new levels of fitness.

Get your own Coach

Too many of us have no clear vision and idea of why we train and more importantly how we should train. We often take a template from somebody else and assume we can use it and get the same results, but often we fail.

I have over the years gathered a lot of experience and education in programming for people and in particular for the sport of fitness, leanness, weight gain and special army selection camps.

Recently I became an OPT CCP coach through the renowned first Crossfit Games Champion; James FitzGerald and have since developed programs for individuals, triathletes, Crossfit competitors, marathon runners and the layman person searching for leanness.

As a part of my training plan you get a thorough assessment of both body fat accumulation and movement analysis along with a range of testing to find your current level of fitness.

We plan your goals and I design your individualised program down to the smallest detail and follow up on your performance weekly.

Throughout last year I worked with Tarkin Brown and here is what he says:

I first approached Soren with the idea of learning some more complex movements and lifts to add to my programming….. What I got was that, but so much more.

Soren’s approach to marathon training, strength training and competition training was something I’d started reading about but not looked into too much and it is very different to what I had previously thought in the last 9 years as a fitness professional…

……. the more I learnt from Soren, the more I realised I didn’t know!!!!!!

The people I trained in Soren style and the lifts I added to my programming gave a real result orientated training style and also changed the way I myself trained! I am 300 days into Soren’s program for me and the strength and power gains are extreme.

For all of this and so much more, I will certainly continue my training with Soren and pursue questioning him and try and suck in a bit of the vast knowledge he has to offer!

Read more about Tarkins journey here.

Tarkin has improved all his strength, olympic lifting, anaerobic and aerobic base immensily whilst learning a lot about his own capacity.

How much can you tell from where your body fat is stored?

Heaps.

I can tell you if you are low in testosterone, or high in oestrogen, stressed, or shouldn’t touch too many potatoes, or if you are well balanced but have accumulated too much body fat from other reasons.

With a ‘fat pinch test’ using callipers you can read a lot about how your body is functioning, that will give me insight into what food, exercise and lifestyle changes you NEED to make.

The Hard Belly Fat – get rid of it, please!

The hard BELLY FAT – what is it and how to lose it?

Many of us are carrying it around and it has become an incredibly hard task to get rid of it. It can be done through nutrition and exercise but what kind of exercise and what should you eat?

Let me start by determining what it is and what the typical difference is between male and female belly fat.

1,2,3,4 or 6 meals a day?

Meal frequency and fat loss. New research debunks old sayings

Following up on the other article about snacks, I did some further investigation into what is known as intermittent fasting (IF). In the
bodybuilding community it is a known approach to increase fat loss, but is there any scientifically reasoning?

I hear this statement frequently;

  1. You need to eat 6 meals a day to keep your blood sugar stable.

When you look through the literature there seems to be scaringly little evidence to support these claims and in fact we might be
better of reducing our amount of meals.

Calorie balance

Many of you will experience an affinity to this client I saw recently; when he was 20 he was lean, playing some sport, and eating whatever he wanted, without gaining weight.

20 years later he is sitting in front of me and has gained 20 kilos over those last 20 years. Nothing is different, he still eats the same, in fact he thinks he eats healthier now, and he still plays some sport and goes to the gym but he can’t shift the weight.

Unfortunately this is not unusual. Is it?

The NEW FAST TRACK FAT LOSS commences soon

I have been very busy all winter developing and testing a new paradigm to help overweight people shed excess fat and do it fast.

For a long time I was a proponent against the quick and easy approach to fat loss. I always said what took time to put on, must take time to take off, but I have never been trapped in an oversized body. I have never felt depressed due to my looks so I had no idea what these people go through. I have come to understand there is a need for a rapid but safe method to lose body fat.
